The ISS-Sudan election process is conducted in five transparent stages to ensure fair representation for all members of the Sudanese community at UTM.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate Requirements
- Active ISS-Sudan member for at least one full semester
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at UTM
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00
- No outstanding disciplinary records from UTM or ISS-Sudan
- Must not hold more than one elected position simultaneously
- Willing to commit for a full one-year term
Voter Requirements
- Registered ISS-Sudan member in the current semester
- Valid UTM student ID at the time of voting
- Attended at least one ISS-Sudan event in the past year
Disqualification Grounds
- Graduating students in their final semester
- Members on academic probation
- Previous office-holders serving two consecutive terms in the same role
Available Positions
ISS-Sudan offers 8 elected positions per term. Each role carries specific responsibilities and eligibility requirements. All positions serve a one-year term starting from the date of official induction.
High Committee
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and represent ISS-Sudan officially at UTM
- Chair all general and executive committee meetings
- Coordinate with UTM administration and student bodies
- Oversee all society programs, events, and operations
- Cast the deciding vote in case of a tie

Key Responsibilities
- Support the President in strategic and operational planning
- Supervise committee performance and progress reporting
- Coordinate cross-committee initiatives
- Act as President in the President's absence
- Ensure execution of annual society objectives

- Prepare meeting agendas and official minutes
- Maintain constitutional and policy documentation
- Manage official communication and announcements
- Track deadlines, decisions, and action items
- Support election and transition documentation

- Manage budgeting and financial planning
- Record income, expenses, and reimbursement reports
- Prepare financial updates for committee meetings
- Ensure spending aligns with approved plans
- Coordinate with auditors and finance reviewers

Secretariat Leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the secretariat operations and initiatives
- Develop and implement plans and programs for the secretariat
- Coordinate with other secretariats and the High Committee
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation
- Represent the secretariat in official meetings and events
- Oversee budget and resource allocation for secretariat activities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Secretary in all secretariat operations
- Track progress of secretariat activities and programs
- Act as Secretary when they are absent
- Assist in coordinating with other secretariats
- Help maintain records and documentation
- Support in organizing secretariat events and meetings
Constitution
The ISS Sudan constitution outlines the organizational structure, member rights and responsibilities, election procedures, and operational guidelines for our society.
